Job Description
The India office of Cambridge International College, Australia is currently looking for a web designer withhigh quality web design skills, able to conceptualise and build sites, to join our team.

A portfolio is essential to the application process and will include examples of artwork and web sites demonstrating a modern and intelligent approach in design. As a web designer, user interface should be just as important as design and a good understanding of layout and how a user interacts with a site is important.

You will have at least two years experience in web design and possess a strong and demonstrable background in delivering professional websites. You will be asked to generate websites from concept to delivery so an innovative and confident approach is essential as well as an eye for detail.

You should have strong experience of developing across different browsers gained through working on W3C compliant sites and know about the impact of page layout and SEO. Whilst the quality of your coding ability is important, creative design ideas and an ability to work in a project driven environment takes preference.

You:
2 years minimum commercial experience.
Excellent English Language Skills.
Strong online portfolio.
Ability to work to deadlines.
An understanding of web standards and accessibility.
Expert eye for design and design practice essential.
Enjoys team based projects and environment.
Strong source code experience with XHTML and CSS.

Your technical skills:
X-HTML/CSS (Ability to hand code).
Action Script/Flash.
Adobe Creative Suite CS4; Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks.
Additional skills in Javascript, PHP, SQL and ASP would be advantageous but not essential.
